Your video entry should demonstrate your current abilities as a pole artist; therefore a video as recent as possible is preferred.
To demonstrate your ability to move through your entire body, including feet and ankles, all video entries must be in bare feet.
Videos should include a description of your intended performance concept in the video description field. This description must paint a clear picture of your intended piece. Elements such as concept/theme, mood, dance or movement style, and any storyline aspects should be included in your description. Any use of props/back-up dancers should also be included in your description.
Video entries could demonstrate your intended Pole Art performance piece or be from a previous performance.
Please ensure your video submission is a single, continuous performance. While the camera angle can shift from wide to close shots, the footage must not be a compilation of separate parts of a performance or different performances pieced together. Your entire submission should flow as one uninterrupted routine.
Video entries will be judged based on the Australian Pole Art Championships judging criteria for the relevant solo or doubles divisions.
Amateur, Semi-Pro & Professional division video entries should include both static & spin pole choreography. Doubles division video entries should include pole choreography with one of the following pole setups: two poles on spin; two poles on static; one pole on spin and one pole on static.
Videos must be well lit, with the performer and poles clearly visible.
Video orientation must be upright for viewing (not sideways). Video can be filmed in landscape or portrait however landscape is preferred.
Entrants with the highest scores from each division will be invited to compete in the Australian Pole Art Championships on Sunday 6 October 2024 in Sydney.
If you are a successful finalist, you will be notified via email and sent a Competitor Registration Pack.
